The #NBANation Tour presented by Samsung rolled into Mic Mac Mall in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia this past weekend and former Toronto Raptor, Jerome Williams was in attendance for a Q&A and autograph session for all of the NBA fans in attendance. It was a jam-packed afternoon at Mic Mac Mall with multiple NBA events/activities including a three-point contest, Sprite Slam Dunk Showdown, photo opportunities with the Raptor (the Toronto Raptors mascot), and the Larry O'Brien championship trophy. Jerome Williams was the highlight on Saturday afternoon and brought his high energy to his Halifax Dogg Pound: meeting with fans as well as judging the Sprite Slam Dunk Showdown.
Sean Francois and myself had the opportunity to chat with "JYD" about his role as a community ambassador with the NBA, the importance of good role models, Canada Basketball, this era of Toronto Raptors basketball as well as his kicks of choice.
Thanks again to Jerome and NBA Canada for giving us the opportunity chat hoops! Be sure to follow the Junkyard Dog, Jerome Williams (@JunkYardDogJW) and NBA Canada (@NBACanada) on Twitter.
Shoutouts to U-E Sampang and Jeorge Sadi for the behind-the-scenes camera and video editing work.
