NUMBERS DON'T LIE
CLIPPERS 118, RAPTORS 105
The "Road Trip is Finally Over" Edition
The five-game west coast road trip is finally over. The Raptors cap off their road trip with a 118-105 loss to the Los Angeles Clippers on Friday night at Staples. The Clips proved to be too athletic for a fatigued Toronto Raptors team with Blake Griffin continuing his scoring tear in the league, finishing with 36 points. Toronto is now 26-24 on the season.
Numbers don't lie, check the scoreboard:
19 Sometimes Blake Griffin looks like he's in video game mode. He took it to the Raptors' bigs and exploded for a 19-point first quarter. Valanciunas and Amir couldn't stop him, and he finished with 36 points and 8 rebounds.
3 Via @ArashMarkazi, Blake Griffin is the first player in Clippers history to score at least 36 points in three straight games.
22 It was Hack-A-DJ night in Los Angeles. As the Raptors were down 20, they resorted to fouling DeAndre Jordan in the third quarter. Jordan went to the line 22 times where he made just 10 free throws. He finished with 18 pts (4-6), 13 rebounds, 2 steals and 2 blocks.
41 The Hack-A-DJ strategy really slowed the game down. It took 41 minutes to play the third quarter.
1 Even Joseph Gordon-Levitt (3rd Rock from the Sun, (500) Days of Summer, Inception) tweeted about it.
Raptors playing hack-a-DJ, half way through the 3rd quarter, is some cowardly shit. @LAClippers @deandrejordan

9 Terrence Ross scored just nine points on 3-10 shooting. And in case you forgot, he exploded for 51 last time the Raptors and Clippers played each other.
67 It was another rough half for Toronto, allowing the Clippers to score 67 points throughout the first two quarters. It was the second game in a row for Toronto to allow 67 points in the first half as they dug themselves in a 16-point hole going into the third.
18 Valanciunas finished with his 18th double double of the season: 11 pts (4-7) and 13 rebounds
36 All-Star DeMar DeRozan didn't disappoint in his hometown Los Angeles, finishing with 36 points (9-21), 17-19 FT (career high), 8 assists, 2 steals and 1 block. 36 points is the most he has scored at Staples.
2-3 Two wins on the west coast road trip...overall not bad. These road trips are normally worse for the Raptors.
31 Even though it was a rough night for #31 Terrence Ross. We gotta show you the his highlight dunk of the night. #RossRisesAgain
Pound The Rock Star of the Game: Blake Griffin - 36 points (13-18), 19 points in the first quarter, 10-13 FT, 8 rebounds, 2 assists, 2 steals and a block.
