NUMBERS DON'T LIE

BULLS 94, RAPTORS 92

The "Revenge of the DJ" Edition

Win or lose, these Toronto Raptors are always in these games in the fourth quarter. The Raptors erased a fifteen point Bulls lead and got within one point in the final possession of a gritty battle with the Chicago Bulls.  Jimmy Butler had a block on DeMar DeRozan on the final possession, that led the Bulls to a two point victory at the ACC.  It was former Raptor point guard DJ Augustin who made an impression in the fourth quarter in the Bulls victory.

Numbers don't lie, check the scoreboard:

The Raptors

130 Kyle Lowry nailed a three with just 1:30 to play that cut the Bulls lead to two after trailing the Chicago Bulls by as many as 15 points on the night.  Lowry's three was his 130th of the season, that tied a career high that he set in Houston.

32 DeMar had a big night for Toronto, scoring a game high 32 points (11-25) and five rebounds.  He had the opportunity to get the go-ahead bucket in the closing seconds but had his shot blocked by the Bulls' Jimmy Butler.

16 The Raptors couldn't get into a rhythm and had just 16 assists on the night.  They average 20.9 apg on the season.

17.6% Toronto was just 3-17 from three point land with just Lowry, Patterson and Vasquez making the only three pointers for the Raptors.

0.5 With the Bulls win, Chicago is only a half game behind Toronto for the third seed in the East.

The Bulls

13 Former Raptor point guard, DJ Augustin, had a nice showing against his former team scoring 19 points (7-15) with thirteen of those points coming in the fourth quarter.

13 Joakim Noah had 8 points for Chicago but also had a career high 13 dimes.

25 Good ball movement from the Chicago Bulls who had 25 assists on the night on 50% shooting from the field.

2-2 It was the last regular season matchup between the Bulls and the Raptors.  They split the season series 2-2.

Final Notes

We have one Psycho T - Nazr Mohammed skirmish.  Hansbrough doesn't take crap from anyone!
