Friday night marked Rajon Rondo's long awaited return to the Boston Celtics. Rondo's return against the Lakers was the top headline going into Friday night's game, but the big story after the game was Canadian baller and Gonzaga product, Kelly Olynyk. The Celtics rookie centre had a monster line off of the bench for the Celtics: 32 minutes, a career-high 25 points (11-17), 5 rebounds, 7 assists, 2 steals and 1 block in the 107-104 loss to Los Angeles.
The Celtics coach Brad Stevens gave Olynyk extra playing time due to his stellar play, and played Olynyk the entire fourth quarter.
"Obviously I'm glad," Olynyk said. "I want to be out there and play and compete and that confidence is still in me; the ability to take some more shots and try to make some more things happen out there."Check out the highlights:
