Well, Masai Ujiri is making his mark on this Raptors franchise. The Raptors began cleaning house and unloaded Rudy Gay and his massive contract to the Sacramento Kings. The details of the deal are as follows:
To Toronto:
Greivis VasquezJohn Salmons
Patrick Patterson
Chuck Hayes
To Sacramento:
Rudy Gay
Aaron Gray
Quincy Acy
Toronto dumps Gay's 17.8 millon for this season (19 million option for next year) in exchange for expiring contracts from Sacramento. Only Chuck Hayes has guaranteed money next season with Vasquez and Patterson's contract expiring after this season.
Only guaranteed $ Raps have in '15 in deal is Hayes ($5.9M). Can clear $14.5M by declining options/qualifying offers 4 PP, Vasquez, Salmons.

Toronto loses some solid bench production with the departure of Aaron Gray and Quincy Acy who were known to be good personalities in the locker room.
The addition of Vasquez brings depth to the point guard spot behind Kyly Lowry and is known to be more of a pass-first point guard similar to former Raptor, Jose Calderon. Patterson brings depth at the PF-C position who is always a double double threat.
The deal should be official on Monday. It was a busy Sunday night for Masai Ujiri and it'll be interesting to see what else he has up his sleeve.
