They admit it... NBA officials admit they missed a call in Charlotte Bobcats win over the Toronto Raptors

posted by Romy Aquino
For all of you Raptors fans that were angry at the no-call at the end of Wednesday night's Charlotte Bobcats 98-97 win over the Toronto Raptors, the NBA has admitted their mistake.  The league has officially announced that they messed up on the NBA Official Twitter account.

NBA Officials miss foul call at end of Tor-Cha game last night; video and explanation at.

It was a heartbreaking loss for the Toronto Raptors on Wednesday night especially where officials missed a call that would would have had an impact on the outcome.  The Bobcats' Michael Kidd-Gilchrist did in fact foul Andrea Bargnani on the final shot in the closing seconds with the Raptors down 98-97.  The league further explained that "Bargnani should have been given two free throws and the clock stopped with approximately 2.4 seconds remaining in the game."

Now this doesn't change the outcome but just an official announcement from league officials that they.....well, messed up.

The Raptors currently hold a 3-9 record to start this season, not exactly where Coach Casey wanted to be.  And coming out on the losing ends of some of these close matchups makes the record sting a little more.  Toronto is on the road to play the Detroit Pistons on Friday night.

What did you think of the NBA announcement?  Does it help anything?
