The Goods: The Toronto Raptors Upcoming Schedule (week of November 19th)

posted by Romy Aquino
We talked about this on the last podcast....if there's a three game road trip that you want to go on, this is as probably as good as it gets.

Toronto Raptors @ Philadelphia 76ers
Tuesday, November 20th - 7pm EST
The last time they met.....the Toronto Raptors scored seven points in the second quarter at the ACC and lost 93-83.  The Raptors will get a chance to redeem themselves against one of the top defensive teams in the NBA on Tuesday night in Philadelphia.  The Sixers are 6-4 on the season, holding that #5 spot in the East which is pretty impressive considering their superstar centre Andrew Bynum has yet to suit up for them...and who knows when that will be.

Toronto Raptors @ Charlotte Bobcats
Wednesday, November 21st - 7pm EST
Sure, the Bobcats are notoriously known as a bad team but they're surprising people so far this season.  Winners of three of the last four, the young Charlotte Bobcats are playing .500 ball.  Kemba Walker has been playing well for Charlotte and leads the Bobcats in scoring with almost 19 ppg.   Jose Calderon will have a tough matchup against Walker but based on the way Jose's been playing these past few games he can continue his hot streak in Charlotte.

Toronto Raptors @ Detroit Pistons
Friday, November 23rd - 7:30pm EST
People might have thought that this might be an easy game against the 2-9 Detroit Pistons but Detroit now has a couple of wins under their belt after going 0-8 to start the season.  The Pistons beat the Sixers last Wednesday and pulled out a huge win against the Boston Celtics on Sunday night.  Definitely a winnable game but the Raps can't take the Pistons lightly.

Matchup to watch: Jonas Valanciunas vs. Greg Monroe

Toronto Raptors vs. San Antonio Spurs
Sunday, November 25th - 1pm EST
The toughest game of the week.  The San Antonio Spurs are on a whole other level than the Raptors but may be able to catch the Spurs sleeping in an early Sunday afternoon matinee in Toronto.  San Antonio is getting older but are definitely wiser and have a rejuvenated Tim Duncan who has been impressive to start this season.  Toronto will need to have Andrea Bargnani back to where he was last year if there's any chance at winning this game.  Andrea, we need 20+ points and at least seven boards!  Also, this could possibly be the return of Kyle Lowry as well.  Cross your fingers, Raps fans.
