POUND THE ROCK STARS - On a nightly basis, no matter how good or bad the Raps play, no matter if they blow out a team or if they get blown out and no matter if they win or lose, these are the Raptors with the best 'Pound the Rock' status for the night.
FINAL SCORE: CELTICS 107, RAPTORS 89 SEASON RECORD: 2W-7L
LINE: 15 pts (5-11), 3-7 3 pt, 3 ast, 1 stl
So preseason John Lucas finally showed up. JL3 put up a season high 15 points against the C's, a huge improvement from his season average 2.1 ppg. Lucas and the second unit helped the Raptors close in on the Celtics lead after trailing 30-17 after the first quarter. This is what he was brought in for, to be instant offence off of the bench and he finally showed that on Saturday afternoon, hitting some big baskets....it's just the Raptors slow start was just too much of a hole to get out of.

POUND THE ROCK STAR #2: JOSE CALDERON
LINE: 10 pts (3-7), 2-3 3pt, 2 reb, 9 ast, 1 stl
Calderon had a touch matchup on Saturday afternoon, matching up with the Celtics assist-machine Rajon Rondo. Solid afternoon for Jose (10 pts, 9 assists)...much better than the shooting from the other starters Andrea Bargnani (5-14) and DeMar DeRozan (5-10).
POUND THE ROCK STAR #3: ED DAVIS
LINE: 7 pts (2-3), 9 reb, 3 ast, 1 blk, 1 stl, 20 min
The bench got a lot of run against the Celtics and they helped keep the Raptors stay in this. With Jonas struggling against KG, and Amir Johnson (1 pt, 3 reb, 16 min) not really doing much for the bigs, Ed Davis was the only bright spot.
SHOUTOUTS TO THE CELTICS:
RAJON RONDO
LINE: 6 pts (3-4), 2 reb, 20 ast, 1 stl
It's like Rondo had to make up for the game he missed against Brooklyn on Thursday night and dropped a ridiculous 20 assists on Toronto. He's just 13 games away from Magic Johnson's consecutive double digit assist games. Next up for the Raps: vs ORL (Sunday)
