Well, it was rumoured that the Raps were going to hold a training camp in Halifax in 2011 but with the NBA lockout at the start of last season, the training camp didn't happen.
But yesterday was a different story as Team President Bryan Colangelo officially announced that the Toronto Raptors are headed here to Halifax for their 2012-13 training camp.
They will hold their training camp at the Canada Games Centre in Halifax from October 1-6. There will also be an intra-squad game open to the public on October 6th at the Halifax Metro Centre, the home of the NBL Canada's Halifax Rainmen. Haligonians will be some of the first fans to see the Raps new faces like Kyle Lowry, Landry Fields, Terrence Ross and Jonas Valanciunas for the first time.
