LINE: 28 pts (10-16), 4 ast, 4 reb
You really don't want a win streak when you're starting to play for a lottery pick in this summer's NBA draft. So the Raps ended that nonsense with the 84-80 loss to the Cleveland Cavs with their fourth quarter meltdown. Toronto got outscored 33-17 in the final quarter erasing the 13-point lead they had in the third quarter. DeMar put up an impressive 28 points on 10-16 shooting and went 7-8 from the line. When you got a roster like this, somebody has to take the offensive load.
POUND THE ROCK STAR #2: ANDREA BARGNANI
LINE: 19 pts, 7 reb, 2 stl
Not the best shooting night for Bargnani, going 8-22 from the floor and 1-5 from 3-pt but the 7 rebounds is a plus. After struggling from his return from injury, Bargnani has picked it up in his last five games.
POUND THE ROCK STAR #3: BEN UZOH
LINE: 9 pts (4-8), 6 reb, 3 ast
Uzoh! This is the first time I've actually got to talk about one of the newest Raps, Ben Uzoh. When you don't have a healthy point guard, you're forced to go with a D-League call up in Uzoh. Uzoh played a season high 34 minutes tonight and scored a season-high 9 points. Do your thing, young buck!
SHOUTOUTS TO THE CAVS:
TRISTAN THOMPSON
LINE: 6 pts, 4 reb, 1 stl
Sure, Antawn Jamison had 25 points and Lester Hudson had 23 points off the bench for Cleveland but we got to shoutout Brampton's own, Tristan Thompson who had 6 points in front of his T-dot crowd.
