FINAL SCORE: RAPS 106, WIZARDS 89 SEASON RECORD: 8W-16L
POUND THE ROCK STAR #1: AMIR JOHNSON
LINE: 18 pts (8-13), 13 rebs, 3 blk
"AND I AM AMIR JOHNSON!!" That was Devlin's call on one of Amir's dunks tonight. Dude, where have you been lately? Amir broke out of his shell with the double double (18 pts / 13 reb) on Friday, his first double double since January 16th. The Raptors big man had a strong first half with his 12 pts and 5 boards at the halfway mark.
POUND THE ROCK STAR #2: JOSE CALDERON
LINE: 8 pts, 17 ast, 8 reb
When your team is shooting the ball well, you pull out the win, quarterback the offense and dish out 17 assists, then you definitely deserve some 'Pound the Rock' praise. 17 assists was a season-high for Calderon as the Raps bounced back from that ugly loss against the Celtics.
POUND THE ROCK STAR #3: LEANDRO BARBOSA
LINE: 19 pts, 3 stl, 2 blk
Barbosa continues to do his thing from the bench..... provide instant offense. Unfortunately, he's just one of a few players on this Raps' squad who has been performing consistently well this season.
SHOUTOUTS TO THE WIZ:
NICK YOUNG
LINE: 21 pts, 4 reb
Man....I thought the Raptors were bad, but it looks like there's more teams in the NBA that want to be a part of Tank Nation. Nick Young led the Wiz, 21 pts on 7-17 shooting...when you're chucking up 18-20 shots a night, you're bound to get a 20-pt night.
