FINAL SCORE: HEAT 95, RAPS 89 SEASON RECORD: 8W-17L
LINE: 25 pts (8-16), 9-11 FT, 3 rebs, 3 ast, 2 stl 3 blk
This guy had a tough assignment on Sunday afternoon, but even though he had to guard Lebron James, DeMar held his own against one of the best in the league. DeMar had 25 points, including 9-11 from thre free throw line. Those free throw attempts are good to see...it's always a good sign when DeMar attacks the basket more. I think it was Paul Jones who said that when DeMar heads to the line 8 or more times, he averages around 24 ppg.
POUND THE ROCK STAR #2: JERRYD BAYLESS
LINE: 17 pts, 4-8 3pt, 3 ast, 3 reb, 2 stl, 2 blk
Bayless got another crack at the starting lineup, and his presence as a starter was effective. Bayless nailed four threes including a three that helped get the Raps get within five with just four minutes to play.
POUND THE ROCK STAR #3: LINAS KLEIZA
LINE: 17 pts, 5rebs
Kleiza played an efficient 24 minutes off of the bench for the Raptors, scoring 17 pts in the loss.
SHOUTOUTS TO THE HEAT:
CHRIS BOSH
LINE: 12 pts, 8 reb, 4 ast
What's a Raps-Heat game recap without a Chris Bosh mention. The former CB4, now CB1, didn't do a whole lot of damage to his former team, well.. except for this dunk here:
But then again, what's a Hip Hoop Junkies Raps-Heat game recap without this classic video too:
