FINAL SCORE: HAWKS 93, RAPS 84 SEASON RECORD: 4W-10L
POUND THE ROCK STAR #1: AMIR JOHNSON
LINE: 13 Pts (5-9), 10 Rebs, 2 Ast, 1 Stl, 1 Block
For 25 minutes of work, that's a pretty nice line. 13 pts and 10 rebounds but five fouls. As long as Amir can avoid foul trouble, we can expect even better lines from the Raps' forward. Johnson and Ed Davis were the only two Raps who pulled down double digit boards. Amir has a ton of upside, he just has to avoid the foul trouble to prove it.
POUND THE ROCK STAR #2: ED DAVIS
LINE: 7 Pts, 11 Rebs, 3 Stls, 4 Blocks
Defense. Coach Casey has to be happy with Ed Davis' performance today. Especially on the defensive end. Eleven boards, three steals and four blocks. You can't ask for much more from this kid from a defensive standpoint.
POUND THE ROCK STAR #3: JOSE CALDERON
LINE: 13 Pts (6-9), 11 Ast, 3 Reb
Jose did his work for the day. Another double double for Calderon (13 pts/11 ast) against the Hawks. I would say, until Jerryd Bayless returns, expect this from Jose on a nightly basis.
SHOUTOUTS TO THE HAWKS:
Josh Smith
LINE: 28 pts (13-19), 15 Rebs, 1 Block
With Al Horford on the shelf for a few months, Josh Smith did damage for the Hawks (28 pts, 15 boards). Another solid performance for Smith as the Hawks win their third in a row.
SHOUTOUTS TO THE FORMER RAPTOR:
Tracy McGrady
LINE: 8 min, 0 pts, 1 Block
Just in case you didn't know...Tracy McGrady plays for the Hawks.
