POUND THE ROCK STARS OF THE NIGHT - CELTICS 96, RAPS 73

POUND THE ROCK STARS - On a nightly basis, no matter how good or bad the Raps play, no matter if they blow out a team or if they get blown out and no matter if they win or lose, these are the Raptors with the best 'Pound the Rock' status for the night.

FINAL SCORE: CELTICS 96, RAPS 73         SEASON RECORD: 4W-11L

POUND THE ROCK STAR #1: GARY FORBES
LINE:  18 pts (5-6), 18 minutes

18 points in 18 minutes.  Gary Forbes' season-high 18 pts might have been the lone bright spot for the Raps on Wednesday night.  As a whole, it was an ugly game for the Raps, as Toronto just looked flat, shooting just 37% on the night.  Both benches got some extra run on Wednesday, and Gary Forbes made the most of it, with a season-high eighteen minutes as well.

POUND THE ROCK STAR #2: ED DAVIS

LINE:  9 Pts, 9 Rebs, 2 Stls

To be honest, there weren't any stars on Wednesday for Toronto.  But the Pound the Rock Stars are sometimes just the best of the worst.  Ed Davis had a near double double with his 9 pts and a team-high 9 rebounds.

POUND THE ROCK STAR #3: AARON GRAY

LINE:  0 pts, 4 reb, 19 min

Well, at least the Raps got a healthy body back. Aaron Gray made his regular season debut against the Celtics.  He got 19 minutes, he didn't do much but grab four rebounds.

SHOUTOUTS TO THE CELTICS:

Rajon Rondo

LINE: 21 pts (7-8), 3 Rebs, 2 Ast

Rondo put in three quarters of work, which proved to be enough for the Celtics on Wednesday.  The final quarter consisted of mostly the Celtics starters on the bench, while the second unit took care of business as the C's snapped their five game losing streak.  The Raps on other hand...are now losers of six straight.
