Peace Out, Peja - Raptors part ways with Stojakovic

Peace out, Peja.

The Raps have waived Peja Stojokavic after his two month stint in Toronto.  Peja played just two games for the Raptors and averaged 10 ppg.  And it looks like he'll be heading to the injury-riddled Dallas Mavericks once he clears waivers.  As Rap fans, we had a little faith that Peja would be here for the long-term, and here we are, watching Peja walk.  Peja didn't provide much value to the franchise, and at 33, he didn't have a role with the young and rebuilding Raptors.

Now according to Marc Stein of ESPN, he is reporting a potential trade between the Raptors and the Dallas Mavericks with 7-2 Centre, Alexis Ajinca, coming to Toronto.
Ajinca, meanwhile, will be dealt to the Raptors along with cash considerations and a 2013 second-round pick that Toronto had sent to Dallas in last year's draft. In return, Dallas will receive the rights to 2007 second-round pick Georgios Printezis (who plays in Spain and is no longer considered an NBA prospect) and create a salary-cap exception equal to Ajinca's $1.5 million salary.
Now, nothing is official as of yet, but what does Ajinca bring to the Raps (if he is indeed traded to T.O.)?  Who knows...nothing much from what I can gather.  He's a 22 year-old backup centre that has played 10 games for the Mavs this season.  Is he Patrick O'Bryant 2.0?  My guess would be yes, but only time will tell...
