This afternoon, the Raptors look to avoid a losing streak when they face off against the 10-7 Atlanta Hawks who started off the season 6-0. Whether it was a easy schedule to start the season or not, the Hawks have been somewhat all over the place. So much so, that Coach Larry Drew called them out earlier this week, calling their performance "embarrassing". The call out may have worked as they bounced back last yesterday with a win over the Knicks.
Now the Raps on the other hand, have been playing better as of late but also had some inconsistencies in their game as well. In the game on Friday against the Celtics, starters Sonny Weems and DeMar struggled to make any impact and Triano was forced to go to the second unit to switch up the tempo. Today, we'll see if the Young Onez will bounce back today. We should see Amir Johnson get more minutes as well, as Reggie Evans will be out indefinitely with the fractured right foot.
Over the past summer, Sean Francois and myself had the opportunity to do a quick interview with Atlanta Hawks centre, Al Horford, while he was in Halifax for NBA Jam Session. So, in case you missed it, here it is:
